This Week’s Featured Artist - Lacrimosa
This week’s featured artist is fantastic. Amazing detail and style. Really cool and interesting work. We love that she is so involved in the DoInk community and is such a positive person here. She is also great about joining contests and giving feedback to other users. This week’s featured artist is Lacrimosa.
Tell us about yourself, what is a typical day like?
Well it depends… during the summer it’s just, wake up, brush teeth,
go on computer, doInk, forums, youtube, facebook, eat, go on the
computer some more… and sometimes my mother and sister and I would
go out and shopping or to the movies… now during school is where….
it really doesn’t change much. :P I wake up, brush my teeth, go to
school, come home, and plop right into the computer chair. The
difference is that I am more motivated during school for some
reason… so I guess more DoInking to come! :)
How old were you when you started drawing? Ever animated anything before?
I was about 5 when I started drawing… before that they were
scribbles and noseless people. I have never actually animated anything
before… and on DoInk I don’t animate much either. Now if only I had
the attention span…
3) Do you have a favorite artist or animator?
I never actually thought about this before… There are a lot of
people on DoInk, actually that I really like. :P Their art is great. I
have so many I can list. >.>
What inspires you?
Music, other people’s art, poems, books, my wild imagination, and just
about anything that I find interesting. c:
Do you have a favorite cartoon and/or anime character?
I have a few favorite anime characters. ^x^ There’s Kanou-San and
Ayase from No Money. There’s the whole cast of Junjou Romantica that I
won’t torture you with at the moment… and then there’s Sebastian,
Grell, Undertaker, Pluto, and Drocell Kainz from Black Butler.
What is your favorite musician or band, what are you listening to?
Oh my spaghetti monster… well my favorite band as of now is Mindless
Self Indulgence… but I listen to lots of music. C: I also like
Rammstein, Oomph, Nightwish, Lady Gaga, Mayhem…. Either way I listen
to a lot of genres. (Except for country and totally mainstream
rap….. I’m such a hipster… >.>)
What are your Favorite websites, outside of DoInk?
Facebook, youtube, this one forum„, and yeah that’s pretty much it.
c: OH and cannot forget our friend google. :P
What are your hobbies?
I like to be a lazy cow, write, draw (of course), swim, and do Boxxy
impressions.
What are your favorite Computer Games?
I used to play World of Warcraft…. >.> I don’t play much computer
games… maybe a facebook game here and there.
How did you find DoInk and what is your experience so far?
I actually discovered it in the seventh grade during science class.
For a science project, we had to do a project on cell division. Then I
made my own account… (which was XxAngeltearxX) But I abandoned it
later on and came back as… Lacri. :P
If you could add any features to DoInk, what would they be?
It’s nice the way it is, but I would add an adjustable canvas size. :)

Any advice for other DoInk users?
Be yourself, make friends, act silly, don’t care what others think and
keep on DoInking!

I actually did this one for a contest… I really like how it came out
with the coloring and stuff. :B
