DoInk to Retire its Web Tools September 15th, 2012 to Focus on App Development
As a small company, we have been struggling to support two platforms, our web tools and our apps. Even though www.doink.com is only five years old, it has maintenance issues, with endless versions of Flash and browsers to support, and of late, the eroding support for Java by Apple and others. As a result, we have made the difficult decision to retire our web tools at www.doink.com as of September 15th, 2012. We feel this is critical to guarantee the highest quality software going forward for our customers. This means we will be shutting down the www.doink.com website as you know it on September 15th, 2012. The www.doink.com domain will not go away, as we will transition it to be our apps landing page.
To say this was a difficult decision, is an understatement. http://www.doink.com has been our child. Five years of our lives and savings have gone into creating our web tools and it will be very difficult to say good bye to them. Personally, I want to thank the amazing Doink community for all their support, many of whom have been with us for five years. You guys made Doink a true anomaly on the Internet, a place for support, encouragement and artistic expression. Thank you for making Doink your “happy place” and for buying and supporting our apps. We have great plans in the future for our apps, so stay tuned. Thank you!
