This Years Holiday09 Contest Winner!
This years winner for our Holiday09 contest is CaptainOinkers, and she is fantastic. We were completely blown away by her animation the story the animation and the great Holiday theme. We wanted to know everything about this extremely talented artist. So here is our in depth interview.
What is your favorite holiday memory?
Haha, I have a lot. I guess I could tell one funny story. My town used to put someone dressed as Santa on a firetruck around Christmastime and have him ride around town saying “Ho ho ho! Merry Christmas!” into a megaphone. A couple years ago, when we had a babysitter watching us, we were all talking about Christmas and Santa. Our babysitter said to us, “You guys know Santa doesn’t exist, right?”. And at that moment, we heard a “Ho ho ho!” coming from outside. Santa was riding by on the firetruck!
Do you have any holiday traditions?
Not really, at least not anything much different from anyone else. We go to our grandparent’s house on Christmas with all our family and eat chicken wings and lasagna!!
What is your favorite thing to do during the holidays?
Sing Christmas songs, hang with family, and drink hot cocoa :)
Any favorite Holiday presents past or present that you want to tell us about?
The DS my parents got for me and my sisters a few years back. We screamed when we opened it!
What was your most favorite holiday present?
Haha, I don’t really know! The DS has gotten the most use out of it!
What was your least favorite holiday present?
I couldn’t say… I suppose clothes that don’t fit?
What is the one gift you want this year?
A cat!!! But since I know I won’t get that, I’m gunning for Professor Layton and the Curious Village :)
Do you have a favorite holiday song?
Haha, the real question would be if I had any I DON’T like! But “All I Want For Christmas is You” has been stuck in my head for a while now :)
Do you have a favorite holiday TV special?
I love Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and How the Grinch Stole Christmas. They’re both classics. And, of course, A Charlie Brown Christmas :)
Do you have a favorite holiday movie?
The Nativity Story, I loved how realistically they portrayed Mary and Joseph. …and Elf :)
Anything special you like to eat during the Holidays?
Vegetarian lasagna!!
Do you like white lights or colored lights?
Both are fine :D
What is your favorite holiday color, green, red, blue or something else?
Green, red, and gold.
Any plans for New Year’s?
Uh… not sure. We usually go to some family friend’s New Years Eve party … and if not that, then at home, sitting on my parents bed watching the countdown :)
