This Weeks Featured Artist-Sheankos
This weeks featured artist does amazing work. We love his use of light and shading in his drawings and animations. He has a really cool style that we are always inspired by. We love the inspiration that his art gives the community and his very nice and helpful comments that he shares with the community. This weeks featured artist is Sheankos.
Tell us about yourself, what is a typical day like?
I’m a 17 years old ambidextrous french canadian. I sleep 12 hours per days for be ok at day. I *need* many hours of sleeping because i *can’t* live with 8 hours of sleeping like a normal person. Soo in my typical day , i’m alway tired because i always need more sleeping. Schooling , drawing, animating and blabla it’s the typical day of many of here, i think ?
How old were you when you started drawing? Ever animated anything before?
I began to draw seriously in 2006, when I started into secondary school. I never animate before discovering doink.
Do you have a favorite artist or animator?
What really ? Seriously, I can’t choose because I love too many artists. On deviantart, I watch over 500 artists. I’m a obsessive about seeing art of others.
What inspires you?
My dreams are a big part of my inspiration. I sleep/dream too much. Many of my dreams are same like ‘‘reality’’. For me , my dreams is like a ‘’other life’’ and a inspiring source.
Do you have a favorite cartoon and/or anime character?
My favorite animating movie is ; felix the cat, bambie, oliver and compagny, the lion king and many others animations that I have seen in my childhood.
What is your favorite musician or band, what are you listening to?
Apocalyptica, Amon amarth, Finntroll, Children of Bodom, Adagio, Lumsk, Tool, Rammstein, Rhapsody, Luca turili, Dark tranquility, Pink fold ,Devildriver , Slipknot, Metallica and many others ..
What are your Favorite websites, outside of DoInk?
Deviantart for only seeing the art. I don’t go on others sites often. Maybe wikipedia for my school works (ahah).
What are your hobbies?
Sleep, Art, Dream
What are your favorite Computer Game?
I haven’t played computer games in long time.
How did you find DoInk and what is your experience so far?
I don’t remember how I found doink. I love my experience on doink, it’s my favorite site ever. I never saw such a nice community like that. I’m very surprise that i got many features, likes and comments. I never had so much attention like that. I can only say : thank you.
Any advice for other DoInk users?
Animation is only a illusion.
You can do a good animation with all rough/sketchy image.
You can do a good animation with all precise image.
The illusion is create by the motion.
A precise image in a rough motion break the illusion.
And keep doink =]

Up to now, it’s my favorite even if i don’t color it.
