This Weeks Featured Artist-Foxfuz

This weeks featured artist is so talented. She makes the most realistic and amazing animals. She also does amazing people, dragons and everything else! She is a great artist and community member. We love that she is such a positive and active member of the DoInk community. She continues to inspire us with her detail and realism in her work. This weeks featured artist is Foxfuz.

Tell us about yourself, what is a typical day like?

Let me see… I wake up around 7:15, eat breakfast and start on my schoolwork (I’m home schooled.) My schoolwork takes until about 3:30 and when I get done with it I usually get on DoInk for a while. After that, I go for a walk/run and/or do any number of other random things (like eating pickles and chasing my little sisters around the house…) After dinner, if I have a project I’m working on on DoInk I work on that for a while, then I hang out with my family, finish up any schoolwork I didn’t get to earlier, and then go to sleep (well… I read for WAY longer than I should, and THEN I go to sleep… -smiles guiltily-) Then it all starts over again!
How old were you when you started drawing? Ever animated anything before?
I have been drawing pretty much ever since I could hold a crayon… (Actually, I think my mom let me finger paint even before that! So, almost my whole life!) Although, I had never been really satisfied with my art until I found DoInk. As to the question of previous animating? I have messed around a little bit with paint and windows movie maker… but other than that, no. (I wasn’t very satisfied with my experiences with paint and movie maker, so I was VERY happy to find DoInk! XD

Do you have a favorite artist or animator?

Nope. =D  I couldn’t possibly pick just one!!! Here are a few of my favorite animators on DoInk though: Zechira, Uizu, Kaikuro, Crazy4pie, and everyone else that I am following or will ever follow!

What inspires you?

Wow… tough question… Um… Everything I guess. The things that happen to me throughout the day, other DoInkers, random thoughts that pop into my head, pictures that I see either on the internet or in real life, the music that I listen to, my family, etc.

Do you have a favorite cartoon and/or anime character?

I don’t really watch cartoons or anime, so my knowledge in this matter is very limited. However, I think my favorites would be Wiley Coyote & Roadrunner and Tom & Jerry!

What is your favorite musician or band, what are you listening to?

My favorite band at the moment (it changes frequently,) would have to be Group 1 Crew. A few of my other favorite artists/bands are tobyMac, Relient K, BarlowGirl, Fireflight, Hawk Nelson, and too many more to mention. Right now I’m listening to a Christan radio station.

What are your Favorite websites, outside of DoInk?

Google, (I love randomly search things on Google, and Gmail rocks!) I use Facebook occasionally, but DoInk is definitely my favorite site! I used to play random games on BubbleBox.com a lot, but I don’t do that very often anymore…

What are your hobbies?

Doodling, drawing, animating, dancing (I love dancing!!), doing crafts, running, skiing, swimming, and… yup… =D

What are your favorite Computer Games?

Zoo Tycoon (1 and 2), Venture Africa, and random online flash games.

How did you find DoInk and what is your experience so far?

I found DoInk on the Wacom site (their eNews) while researching drawing tablets. (It’s true! I just happened to be researching drawing tablets right when DoInk was in their current eNews!) My experiences on DoInk so far? I LOVE DOINK!!! I enjoy seeing and commenting on other people’s art, and them doing the same for me. Everyone on DoInk is so nice! It’s amazing! I love the online editor because it saves my art for me and it makes everyone use the same program. (I like this because it makes everyone’s art comparable and it gives me new ideas on how the editor can be used.) I am VERY happy with DoInk and don’t plan on leaving any time soon! (You guys are awesome!!!)

Any advice for other DoInk users?

Don’t worry about what to draw or whether anyone will like it! Just draw whatever you are feeling like or are inspired to draw at the time! It doesn’t matter if it’s silly or you don’t think anyone else will like it. I have found that I make much better art if I draw what is on my mind and not what I think other people want to see.

Your favorite clip that you have done?
