This Week’s Featured Artist - NyokoRainbowx3
We really noticed this week’s artist with her amazing clip for our Holiday11 contest. We loved the moving ribbons and just the incredible detail that she created in this clip. Her Holiday11 clip is her spotlight clip. We love many of her other clips as well and we really appreciate how involved she is in DoInk contests and our community. She is an inspiration to us all. This week’s featured artist is NyokoRainbowx3.
Tell us about yourself, what is a typical day like?
On the weekdays I go to school, come home, eat a snack (usually cookies xD) and do my Homework, and sometimes since I always have extra time, i’ll catch up on drawing in my notebooks, or practice my Ukulele, Piano, or Guitar. I also play video games such as Final Fantasy, Little big planet, Skyrim etc. Usually on the weekends I go online and come on DoInk, or read comics. (homestuck ftw.)
How old were you when you started drawing? Ever animated anything before?
Well, I was probably REALLLY young, probably about 4-5 I always watched my sister draw because she loved Tomb Raider and FInal fantasy, so she always drew a lot from those, and she inspired me to start drawing (except i was REALLLY bad when i first started xD)
Do you have a favorite artist or animator?
I like a lot of Artists and Animators, because they all have unique styles. but I’d say some of my favorites are my Sister, all the people on DoInk that i followed like Ray125, Kai125521, Bijou, Spuspu, ElyFelt, KarinsaKindred, The_Pineapple, and everyone on DoInk! I also like a person on DeviantArt named- yuumei, her drawings are really Inspiring to me :)
What inspires you?
Usually when I see people’s OC’s it inspires me to make new characters at times, or when I read some stories or listen to music I also get inspired to draw or write things. And usually when I sit outside, with my iPod, I sit in the Highschool field, and when I look up at the clouds, I usually get inspired by that
Do you have a favorite cartoon and/or anime character?
HEHHE. I have a lot :D but I’d say Stitch from Lilo and Stitch, Peter Pan, Vincent Valentine, Cloud Strife, and Noctis from Final Fantasy, L from Deathnote, Ikuto from Shugo Chara, and I’d have to say my OC Aison. XD He’s my top favorite character I have
What is your favorite musician or band, what are you listening to?
I usually Listen to lots of Orchestral/piano music, Daft Punk, Deadmau5, Morning Benders, Vocaloids, and sometimes Muse. Mostly In general I like songs that have a good beat to it, that are upbeat, and I usually find my favorite songs in commercials. Some genres I usually listen to are mostly House (because of my older sister xD), Electro, surfpop, Pop, chillwave, and Orchestral
What are your Favorite websites, outside of DoInk?
MS Paint Adventures, Facebook, Tumblr, youtube, DeviantArt, Yea. I don’t really go on a lot of things. xD
What are your hobbies?
Some Hobbies I have are drawing (obviously xD) Playing my Ukulele, or Guitar, Video games, Chorus (at school xD) longboarding with my cousin’s longboard (since I dont have one yet), Watching clouds, and mostly just laying around being bored. xD
What are your favorite Computer Games?
OHH I HAVE. a LOTT XD well. when i was like in 4th grade. I was OBSESSED with Webkinz.. haha, and I also play Wizard101 (lol) but not very much anymore but I do go on, I play some Maplestory, and GaiaOnline as well. xD
How did you find DoInk and what is your experience so far?
Well I was on youtube, and I like to watch people’s videos that draw, and I was on CaramelCat123’s profile and it said she was on DoInk, so I thought I’d try it out, and i LOVE IT! :D
If you could add any features to DoInk, what would they be?
Hmm.. maybe a blurring tool, and maybe a shining effect? (sorry I can’t explain good xD)
Any advice for other DoInk users?
Don’t let anyone make fun of your drawings! Because I tell everyone that we all have our own individual styles, and that we should be proud of what our style is because no one can draw EXACTLY how you can. Oh, and to just have fun with drawings, even if you say it “sucks” people out there may just Like it!! so never let yourself down.
What is your favorite clip that you have done?
I would have to say my Halloween Drawing That I did in October because I really like Halloween and I just love how It turned out!!
