This Week’s Featured Artist: Arry
We liked a lot of this artists clips, but we were completely blown away by her entry into our Holiday11 Contest. Tell us about yourself, what is a typical day like?
I normally have school. So I wake up, have breakfast, run to the bus stop, catch another bus and go to school :D. Then I catch another bus home and eat. I do a bit of homework after, Facebook and DoInk ;). I do other normal stuff and sleep :).
How old were you when you started drawing? Ever animated anything before?
I think I started drawing when I found out pens and paper existed. Which was like, 5-ish :). I haven’t animated anything besides DoInk stuff.
Do you have a favorite artist or animator?
On DoInk? I really like blehbleh’s stuff :) . But outside, I really like nanohikakou’s art on deviantart. You should check her (i think she’s a girl :P) out :D she has really awesome stuff- http://nanohikakou.deviantart.com/
What inspires you?
Music inspires me quite a lot and anything that’s outstanding or catches my eye :) . But I think everything is inspiring in it’s own way, some are just affect you more than most :P
Do you have a favorite cartoon and/or anime character?
I don’t actually watch much cartoons except Disney ones, Nickelodeon or Cartoon Network :P. So I like Phineas and Ferb and Generator Rex! :D
What is your favorite musician or band, what are you listening to?
I listen to most mainstream music. But I really like Panic! At the Disco.
What are your Favorite websites, outside of DoInk?
I go on Facebook alot, Youtube and Tumblr! :D
What are your hobbies?
I definitely do not like drawing ;) , I like eating, playing badminton, watching tv or movies, listening to music and hanging out with my friends :)
What are your favorite Computer Games?
I don’t really play computer games, but I used to play Internet ones like this helicopter game where you had to click it to make it go up, and if you didn’t it would go down and a game called bubble trouble!
How did you find DoInk and what is your experience so far?
Eklia told me about this website and so far I’ve enjoyed it so much! I actually go on it everyday I can.
If you could add any features to DoInk, what would they be?
I think gradient fading out to nothing would be cool and for the create to be more vector-y :P, I don’t know how to describe it but when I used a vector app the lines were really pretty and smooth. Oh and a rubbish bin for if I accidentally delete something :P
Any advice for other DoInk users?
Just enjoy DoInk and stop fussing about likes and features and stuff. Like sure they’d be great but drawing itself is pretty awesome too :), never give up on something because it’s too hard or time consuming :P and just have funnn :)
What is your favorite clip that you have done?
Probably this one, because I worked really hard on it :P and it actually turned out well :). and it kind of looks like the drawing and yea :)
