This Week’s Featured Artist: BroadwayWolf6

This week’s featured artist is awesome. We love her work, it is always so detailed and just amazing. We love all the things that are inspired in her work too, like Audrey from little shop of horrors. We also love that her spotlight clip is inspired by Harry Potter. (You know we love everything Harry Potter.) She is just an amazing artist, always involved in the DoInk community and an inspiration to us all. This week’s featured artist is BroadwayWolf6.

Tell us about yourself, what is a typical day like?

Well, I wake up at 5:30 every morning, go to school, come home around 2. Distract myself on the computer with DoInk, DeviantArt and YouTube maybe watch some Doctor Who then do homework. And if I have spare time, I draw of course!

How old were you when you started drawing? Ever animated anything before?

I was in elementary school when I was in love with horses. I was just doodling when I drew a little squiggle which turned into a horse. That’s when I first REALLY started to draw and it has just grown from there. I had never animated anything before DoInk but this place has done wonders for my animation

Do you have a favorite artist or animator?

Well Walt Disney HAS to be up there somewhere! But when talking about average artists/ animators, I like Tribbleofdoom on YouTube. Her videos are what sparked my interest in animation enough to actually try it.

What inspires you?

Music mostly. And life around me. If I’m really into something, I will probably draw about it or if I just find something moving or inspiring. Also, my Lord and savior Jesus Christ <3

Do you have a favorite cartoon and/or anime character?

I love a lot of the Disney Classic characters like Simba and Mushu and all those other quirky classics!

What is your favorite musician or band, what are you listening to?

I love Darren Criss’ music. He’s a brilliant song writer. I also like bands like Tenth Avenue North, Newsboys, Chameleon Circut, David Crowder Band and such but my overall favorite artist is Chris August

What are your Favorite websites, outside of DoInk?

DeviantArt, Facebook, YouTube. I’m so original XP

What are your hobbies?

drawing obviously! I also enjoy the theater (especially musicals), chilling with my friends, and watching me some British TV shows

What are your favorite Computer Games?

Minecraft (even though I don’t own it), I used to and always will love Zoo Tycoon 2 as well as the Harry Potter computer games. They bring me memories XD

How did you find DoInk and what is your experience so far?

My dad actually heard about it on a podcast and told me about it so I gave it a go. DoInk has done wonders for my skills. It’s easy enough to use that it helps me a ton to experience animation and improve. Not to mention the community on here is great as well. I <3 DoInk

If you could add any features to DoInk, what would they be?

But It’s already so fantastic! maybe more textured tools like a paintbrush style tool and pencils and such

Any advice for other DoInk users?

Practice really does make perfect! Keep on drawing and developing your own style is a great way to improve as well
