Tell us about yourself, what is a typical day like?

Well now that it’s summer I normally sleep in late, hang out with friends, draw, read, paint, whatever I can do to keep myself going  without getting bored. :)

How old were you when you started drawing? Ever animated anything before?

I was pretty young when I started to like drawing, I’m thinking I was in 2nd or 3rd grade when I really got into it. It’s funny because I started out only liking art so I could beat my cousin in her “drawing contests” she would always have with me. So when I practiced it was more of a competitive thing, but now I do it because I enjoy it. Doink was my first experience in animating, drawing is more my thing though.

Do you have a favorite artist or animator?

My favorite artist is Mark Crilley, he draws anime, and wrote his own manga series.

What inspires you?

It sounds funny but I really get inspired from my friends, or things that happen to me. Like… one of my characters names is inspired by a game I played in biology class.

Do you have a favorite cartoon and/or anime character?

Risa, from Lovely Complex, is my favorite anime character

What is your favorite musician or band, what are you listening to?

I love Utada Hikaru’s Music, It’s so unique, and pretty.

What are your Favorite websites, outside of DoInk?

Probably Youtube and Facebook,  can’t beat watching free videos and talking with friends :) .

What are your hobbies?

Drawing is my main hobby, I can never get enough of it.

What are your favorite Computer Game?

Age of the Empires >~< I’m quite a nerd, but I’ve always loved that game.

How did you find DoInk and what is your experience so far?

My friend “Chickie” told me about it :) we’re both really into art and it’s really fun to be able to see each others stuff. I absolutely love Doink, Its so amazing to see what people can do! I also like the tools available on this site.

Any advice for other DoInk users?

Just don’t feel discouraged if people don’t respond to your art the way you want them to.
All that matters is your own opinion of your work, and if you enjoy drawing or animating. I really feel sad when new people feel they should give up because they didn’t get enough comments or likes. The best thing to do is to keep going and practicing. :)
