This Week’s Featured Artist - Fi19
This week’s featured artist is great. She makes extremely detailed and really amazing clips. We love her style and her great involvement in our community. We thought her back to school clip was really cool. A great example of the angst that going back to school can create. She has done some amazing Halloween clips lately too. She is an inspiration to all of us in the DoInk community. This week’s featured artist is Fi19.
Tell us about yourself, what is a typical day like?
Well, I get up, go to school, and walk home. Sometimes I have marching band practice or drama club, or Comunity arts club. I do all my homework as soon as I get home, and normally come onto DoInk for a while. Then I eat dinner and go to bed. And the cycle painfully continues again, and again, and again.
How old were you when you started drawing? Ever animated anything before?
I can’t even tell you hen I started drawing, let’s just say I was born with a crayon in my hand and leave it at that. I only animate stuff on DoInk, and I don’t animate too often but it is fun.
Do you have a favorite artist or animator? Yes! I love Hayao Miyazaki and everything he does!
What inspires you? Mostly music, which seems to be the average answer. I also get inspired by everyday things. I use drawings like a journal, when something weird happens, I draw it!
Do you have a favorite cartoon and/or anime character?
Yeah I do! So, so many. I will list a few; First of all Mello from Deathnote! Also, L, Ryuk, Crona, Dr.Stein, Asura, Death the Kid, Medusa, Ragnarok, Drocell, Sebastian, Grell, Kurotsuchi, Ulquiorra, Grimmjow, Nnoitra, Gin, Russia from Hetalia, and all my Glass Circus characters; Not necessarily in that order…That was more than a couple wasn’t it? Well I’m sure there are more but these came to mind. I love them all with a deep Fan-girly love.
What is your favorite musician or band, what are you listening to?
I love the Gorillaz! I listen mainly to electronic stuff or what ever you call it, stuff like The Gorillaz, Does it offend you yeah?, and deadmou5. I also listen to Muse, Panic at the disco, Lady GaGa, and for some reason; The Beatles.
What are your Favorite websites, outside of DoInk?
I am a fan of Kongregate, Eyemaze, Vector park, and Facebook.
What are your hobbies?
Drawing of course! I also play saxophone, sculpt, and act.
What are your favorite Computer Games?
I love this game about Moby Dick where you around as a giant whale and eat people! <3 I also like most zombie based games and survival horrors.
How did you find DoInk and what is your experience so far?
Once upon a time, I was sitting in typing class with some free time, looking through my teacher’s wikispace. It was full of random websites she came across. The first one I clicked on? DoInk! I am luck oh so lucky! And now I am here with you nice people. My experience has been so amazing, I learned a lot and I am getting better with what i do everyday!
If you could add any features to DoInk, what would they be?
I really can’t think of any :3
Any advice for other DoInk users?
Never stop drawing just because you think you aren’t any good. Need help with drawing? Gee, if only there were some good art community online you could go to. Oh! Wait! Your on one!
What is your favorite clip that you have done?
I am very proud of my ZOMBIE! clip because of it’s great detail and come on, who doesn’t love undead brain eaters?
