This Week’s Featured Artist - NodjaSeries
This week’s featured artist has been around DoInk for a long time. First as ArdytheKoi and now as NodjaSeries. We love their talent as an artist and animator. Her Nodja series is amazingly well animated. You can see it as her spotlight clip below. She is a great community member, that inspires us with her talent! This week’s featured artist is NodjaSeries.
Tell us about yourself, what is a typical day like?
Mostly, my days end up being the same all the time. Very boring routines. But I certainly would have ALOT to say about myself as an individual. Sadly I am limited with saying things about myself on the internet for my own safety. I CAN say that I have changed alot as a person over the years.
How old were you when you started drawing? Ever animated anything before?
To be honest I don’t quite remember exactly when it was. I used to know, but now I don’t. All I know is my parents got me a book for christmas many years ago on how to draw dragons and I started there.
Do you have a favorite artist or animator?
I’m not sure whom that might be. I look up to alot of artists now days.
What inspires you?
LOTS! But mostly all my ideas come from memories and thoughts that tangle up in my mind and eventually conjure an idea, which I then produce into drawings and such.
Do you have a favorite cartoon and/or anime character?
The classic Winnie the Pooh Cartoons are a catch! The humor is subtle, yet amusing and oh so clever.
What is your favorite musician or band, what are you listening to?
Many, many. My favorite genres of music at the moment are Dubstep, Trance, you know.. all those Electronica stuffz. I like Deadmau5 and Skrillex too. Of course I always look into stuff before I listen because I don’t like music that is unclean. I dislike rap and hardcore anything. there are a few very choice things that I like in those categories.
What are your Favorite websites, outside of DoInk?
Yahoo answers, and that’s it. I just answer questions about pet fish. Lol I don’t hang on the web much, I don’t even have a facebook or myspace or anything! 8O
What are your hobbies?
Oh my goodenz. Lots of hobbies, I don’t have enough time for all of them! To name a few; skateboarding, drawing, painting, sewing, DoInking, aquascaping, I love keeping fishes. I gots a 55gal fish tank it’s so great.
What are your favorite Computer Games?
Mini Golf Master, Mario Games, Classics.. they’re great.
How did you find DoInk and what is your experience so far?
Well lots. A long time ago I searched google for “free animation program” and DoInk was one of the results. Been signed up forever, but haven’t actually been on very much cause of personal life complication stuff.. and stuff. Sorry guys. :\
If you could add any features to DoInk, what would they be?
Great how it is.
Any advice for other DoInk users?
Hmm. Other people have put it pretty well so.. my advice is: read other people’s advice!! :D
What is your favorite clip that you have done?
Well I’d have to say a previous one that I sadly deleted!! (-Looks at myself angrily and says “No cookies for you, Ardy! Go to bed snackless.”-) But as for my current animations, this one:
